I found that many people had issues with the way Windows 8 had to be shutdown. There was a total of four steps to finally get to the Shutdown button to shutdown Window 8.

I solve this issue, I came up with this workaround solution that eliminates the need for pressing any buttons at all, and allows you to shutdown your PC through the comforts of your keyboard directly!

Shortcut command: shutdown -s -t 0
(1 – if you want you can replace the 0 with a number which represents the number of seconds the computer will wait before the computer is shut down
2 – You can replace the -s with -r to make the shortcut restart the computer instead of shutdown the computer: shutdown -r -t 0)
